Infiltration and complementary architecture

‚Transparent‘ architectural objects infiltrate the classical buildings of the Wiener Ringstrasse. Objects made of glass function as para-sites in the existing tissue of musealisation. Depending on its position and programme the para-site becomes involved with the history and future of the building it infiltrates. Old values, in terms of media, information, design, time and value, are questioned by means of congestion and voidness.

An example is the Parliament of Austria in which a parasite confronts the party potiticians with the „undependent“ and critical brians of social science, philosophy, semiotics and other academic fields. Democracy is opend up, while the academic world on its turn, in its glass box, is confrontes with its academic sterility. All this in the face of the public outside.
